The Nolan Ryan Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization formed in Alvin, Texas in 1990.  The Nolan Ryan Foundation’s mission is to provide resources for youth, education and community development.  The construction of the $1.2 million Nolan Ryan Center was the first project the Foundation completed and donated to Alvin Community College in the fall of 1996.  The college uses this building for continuing education classes, special events and as a community center.  For 20 years, the Foundation used a portion of the building for the Nolan Ryan Exhibit Center and funds generated from the exhibit contributed to local scholarships, baseball field renovations, skills camps and much more.

In November of 2016, the Nolan Ryan Foundation relocated to Round Rock, Texas and continues its diligent work to support the community.  The first contribution made in Round Rock was $50,000 for a train pod at the Play for All Park. For more information on the project, click here.

The Nolan Ryan Foundation works year-round to raise funds for its scholarship program. Since the inception of the program in 1990, the Foundation has awarded over $200,000 in college scholarships. In 2016, the program was elevated by establishing a scholarship endowment fund that now awards scholarships up to $16,000 that are renewable for up to four years. Currently, the Foundation partners with the Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation to provide scholarships for deserving local students.

The Round Rock Express and Nolan Ryan Foundation have joined forces to host a 50/50 Raffle every home game; which means one lucky fan will walk away nightly with cold, hard cash!
